Rooted in lineage
A Kolkata pandit family whose practice has passed from father to son for ten generations.
About Amodr
Amodr brings a family practice of Vedic ritual — carried through ten generations — onto one modern platform: verified pandits, free muhurat, authentic products.
A Kolkata pandit family whose practice has passed from father to son for ten generations.
Booking, muhurat and samagri handled online — in minutes, not a week of phone calls.
Six zones live today, with Howrah, Durgapur, Siliguri and the districts next.
Our Story
In Kolkata, families always knew which pandit to call — because that pandit was known to their parents, and their parents before them. Amodr began when that chain started to break.
Our founder grew up inside that practice: mantras at dawn, samagri laid out on the floor, late-night calls asking for the right muhurat. He also watched a newer generation move into New Town flats and Salt Lake blocks with no idea who to call.
So we built the bridge — protecting what must never change, and removing what was never sacred to begin with.
“Spirituality is not just our profession — it is our family's calling.”
What We Do
Weddings, griha pravesh, satyanarayan, namkaran, annaprashan, bhoomi pujan and festival pujas — full vidhi in Bengali or Hindi tradition.
A free Panchang-based finder for 90+ occasions, plus personal guidance from the pandit on the final choice.
Lab-certified rudraksha, karungali, pyrite, japamala and complete puja kits, shipped across India.
Tradition + Technology
Technology should carry a tradition, never dilute it. That is the line we hold at every product decision.
Our muhurat engine follows classical Panchang rules — tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, vaar — not simplified shortcuts.
Every booking still includes a pandit's personal advice on the final date and time.
Convenience applies to booking, never to the ritual itself.
Expertise & Credibility
Lineage, training, years of practice and references are checked before any pandit is listed. Conduct is reviewed after every booking.
Each ceremony has a written vidhi and samagri sheet, so what happens in your home is consistent and complete.
Rudraksha and gemstone items are lab-tested; origin and mukhi count are stated honestly, with no inflated claims.
Package rates are published up front. Dakshina, travel and samagri are stated separately — no surprises on the day.
Founder & Team
Our Founder
FOUNDER, AMODR
“For over 10 years our family has performed pujas in homes across Kolkata. Amodr carries that same tradition forward.”
Spirituality was never a career choice in the Mukherjee household — it was the household. Satyam brought a designer's eye to an inherited calling, and built Amodr so the family standard could reach far more homes than one family ever could.
Direction
To give every family access to an experienced, verified purohit and the correct muhurat — with technology carrying the tradition, never diluting it.
To be the name a family reaches for first — the way they once reached for the pandit down the lane — starting in Kolkata and growing across India.
Why Users Trust Amodr
A heritage of uncompromised practice, not a marketplace assembled last year.
No last-minute finds. Every pandit is checked, and reviewed after each ceremony.
The Muhurat Finder is free and needs no login — because timing guidance shouldn't be paywalled.
The full item list arrives before the day, so families are prepared and calm.
Bengali or Hindi tradition, performed the way your family has always known it.
Book a verified pandit, or find your muhurat first. Both take under two minutes.
